We currently have two projects based at the centre which utililise volunteers, these are the Kilburn Neighbours Scheme and Cafe 60. Both projects have their own pages on this website, if you would like to find out more about them: Kilburn Neighbours, Cafe 60. Here are some brief details on the projects as well as the times and tasks involved for volunteering with them:

Care

Kilburn Neighbours Scheme

Kilburn Neighbours' purpose is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable older people in Kilburn by assisting them to live more independently in their own homes. With the help of volunteers the scheme offers a variety of services and activities to this end.

We would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering a few hours of your time in any or a combination of the following ways: to regularly or occasionally visit an older person; to do small DIY type tasks; window cleaning; gardening, etc; to escort our scheme users to appointments or to the shops; to help deal with simple correspondence; and to provide an extra pair of hands every now and again when we are running an event.

Times and days of volunteering will be arranged according to your availability. To find out more click here.

You do not need to have catering experience, but you do need to have a caring and cheerful attitude. A free lunch is provided as is reasonable travel experiences. To find out more click here.
